Where to Start?

After subscribing to the dmarcwarrior.com newsletter, here is what I would recommend doing to get started.

~ Collect a list of all registered domains

~ Determine which registrar each domain is linked to

~ Identify all known third party email senders you are currently working with

Registered Domains

You will want to implement DMARC on all of your registered domains and not just those which you currently send email from. Without DMARC there is nothing to stop a cybercriminal from spoofing one of your domains you aren't sending email from.

Domain Registrars

Even with my simple setup of dmarcwarrior.com and dmarcwarrior.info I use both Wix and GoDaddy to manage my DMARC implementations. I would not find it surprising to know you have to work with multiple domain registrars if you have multiple domains.

Third Party Senders

You may be working with third party senders for multiple reasons like

~ Marketing campaigns

~ Payroll

~ Human Resources

If you aren't sure where to start and your organization has an SPF record, I would recommend looking there first.

With this information in hand you will in a great position to begin your DMARC implementation. Let me know when you are ready to get started!
